On Wednesday 11\/12\/2024, University of Patras and PROMEA organized the \u201cAIII.2 workshop” with the participation of public authorities and representatives from the wind energy sector. The meeting took place on-site at the University of Patras Conference & Cultural Center, and virtually using ZOOM. Some of the main conclusions from the meeting were that (i) better and more direct communication channels could have a positive impact on the local communities\u2019 views about wind farms, (ii) the financial benefits from nearby wind parks should be spent in a clear and transparent way by local municipalities. These benefits, combined with a better and continuous information of civil society, would increase the social acceptance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
